TWD: Linzer Sables Update


Well, I had a little more energy to deal with making some nice buttercream frosting for the Linzer Sables today! I mixed the vanilla buttercream with raspberry jam, and WOW! I have a new found love for these Sables. I will be eating them this way...from now on!


Vanilla Buttercream--the simple way


Ingredients:

1 cup confectioners' sugar

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

3 tablespoons raspberry jam


Directions:

1. In a bowl mix together the butter and confectioners' sugar until combined. Moisten with vanilla and heavy cream. Mix on medium high until light and fluffy.

2. Fold in Jam. Add more if you want a stronger raspberry taste.

Glad you found a way to 'like' these cookies. I didn't get a chance to try them, but I like your mix of jam and frosting. Look tasty.
